Trae Young Says He Thinks He's Best Overall Player in 2018 NBA Draft
Add Oklahoma star Trae Young to the list of 2018 NBA draft prospects who believes he is the best player available to all 30 teams.
Young made his bold proclamation claim on ESPN during the scouting combine in Chicago when asked if he was the best pure scorer in this class.
"I think I'm the best overall player in this draft," he said Friday, via ESPN's Nick Friedell. "My main focus isn't necessarily to be the best player in this draft. My focus is to be the best player in the NBA. That's what I'm focusing on each and every day."
Missouri's Michael Porter Jr. also called himself the best player in the 2018 draft class on Thursday.
Young and Porter will be able to settle their battle for supremacy when the NBA draft is held on June 21 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
