Collin Sexton Declares for 2018 NBA Draft; Will Hire Agent
After an impressive freshman season, Alabama Crimson Tide star Collin Sexton will join the list of one-and-done stars.
The 19-year-old confirmed Friday he will be entering the NBA draft, also telling 247Sports' Evan Daniels he intends on hiring an agent.
"I made this decision because I feel like it's been my dream growing up, it's so close," Sexton said. "Also I talked to my family and the coaching staff and they felt like I'm pretty much ready and I'll be good because they taught me a whole lot here at Alabama."

Alabama also shared a statement from Sexton about the move:
Sexton put the college basketball world on notice from the start, dropping a 40-piece in just his fifth game. He averaged 19.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists in his lone season in Tuscaloosa.
While the 6'3", 190-pound guard was solid all season, he was at his best when the spotlight was the brightest. He averaged 24.2 points in five postseason games, leading Alabama (20-16) to the second round of the 2018 NCAA tournament.
Sexton would not address the possibility of going pro right after his team's season ended with a loss to the Villanova Wildcats in the round of 32. However, after taking some time to think about his future, he decided moving on to the NBA was in his best interest.
Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman ranked Sexton as the 13th-best NBA prospect in the NCAA tournament.
