Dwyane Wade: 'Nobody's Coming to Save' Cavaliers Amid Struggles, Trade Rumors

Adam WellsFeb 7, 2018

As problems continue to mount for the struggling Cleveland Cavaliers, Dwyane Wade thinks the players are responsible for what has gone wrong and shouldn't be waiting for potential trades before Thursday's 3 p.m. ET deadline.

"Nobody's coming to save us," Wade said after Tuesday's 116-98 loss to the Orlando Magic at the Amway Center, per CBS Sports' Chris Barnewall. "It's not the coaches' fault. It's the players'. We gotta own it. All of us. When we get opportunities, we all gotta do our job. We recognize that."

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Tuesday Cleveland's odds to make a blockbuster trade were low, but the team is "not completely out of" a possible deal for Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan.

The Cavs have also been linked to George Hill, though Chris Mannix of Yahoo Sports reported the Sacramento Kings would like to get a third team involved because they don't want to take Iman Shumpert or JR Smith.

The three-time defending Eastern Conference champion Cavaliers are in desperation mode. They have lost 14 of their last 21 games, including a blown 21-point lead against the Magic (17-36).

Cleveland leads the Central Division by one-half game over the Milwaukee Bucks and is barely ahead of the Washington Wizards in winning percentage (0.003) for the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference.
