Bucks Rookie Sterling Brown Arrested, Tased During Parking Dispute

Milwaukee Bucks guard Sterling Brown was tased and arrested Friday following a dispute with police at a Walgreens parking lot.

Per Dan O'Donnell of 1130 WISN, police were ticketing Brown's car for being parked across two handicapped spaces when he confronted and became combative with the officers. He was then tased and arrested for resisting arrest. 

Milwaukee Police Sgt. Timothy Gauerke issued a statement about the arrest, though he didn't specifically name Brown:

"Milwaukee Police were conducting a business check around 2:00 a.m. on January 26th at Walgreens located at S. 26th Street and W. National Avenue when they encountered a vehicle parked across two disability parking spaces. Officers spoke with a 22-year-old male and during the incident an electronic control device was deployed and the man was arrested. The circumstances of the incident and the use of force are currently being reviewed by the Department."

A source confirmed Brown's involvement to O'Donnell, who also noted the Bucks issued a statement, saying they are "aware of the situation" with Brown "and are looking into it."

A rookie out of SMU, Brown was drafted 46th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers. Philadelphia traded his draft rights to the Bucks on July 6, and he has appeared in 21 games for the team and is averaging 3.5 points.
