Police spokesman Troy Brown wrote in a statement provided to Schad that Hendricks was "punching the horse in the face, neck and shoulder area," and the officer on the horse was being struck in the legs before another officer placed Hendricks in custody.

Hendricks was ejected from Lincoln Financial Field for being intoxicated and not having a ticket to the game. The 22-year-old had his bail set at $5,000 and is due to appear in court on Jan. 30.

The Eagles defeated the Falcons 15-10 to advance to the NFC Championship Game.
