Saquon Barkley Signs with Roc Nation After Declaring for 2018 NFL Draft
Three days after declaring for the 2018 NFL draft, running back Saquon Barkley announced will be represented by Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports.
The Penn State star announced on Instagram Wednesday that Kim Miale will be his agent:
Barkley told ESPN's Darren Rovell his decision to join the Roc Nation Sports family was simple after meeting with them.
"It was a really easy decision," he said. "A lot of people came around my way, but they were focused on me and they did a great job at selling my family on setting me up for life, bringing value outside of football. I felt like it was harder for other agencies to pitch that family feel when they were working with 30 or 40 guys."
Rovell noted Roc Nation Sports has had success landing high-profile running back prospects before they get drafted, including Todd Gurley in 2015 and Leonard Fournette last year.
One day after Penn State defeated Washington in the 2017 Fiesta Bowl, Barkley announced he was forgoing his senior season to turn pro. He finished his college career with 175 total yards and two touchdowns in the Nittany Lions' 35-28 bowl victory.
