LaVar Ball said he is not worried after his son LiAngelo was arrested on shoplifting charges in China with two UCLA teammates Tuesday.

"I'm going to wait until I get more intel on what's going on. He'll be fine. Everyone's making it a big deal. It ain't that big a deal," LaVar said, per Arash Markazi of ESPN.com.

LiAngelo, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill were arrested for allegedly stealing items from a Louis Vuitton store in Hangzhou, China, per Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com.

"We are aware of a situation involving UCLA student-athletes in Hangzhou, China," UCLA said in a statement. "The University is cooperating fully with local authorities on this matter, and we have no further comment at this time."

Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott issued a statement saying the conference is "disappointed" in the situation.

"We are very disappointed by any situation that detracts from the positive student-athlete educational and cultural experience that this week is about," Scott said. "Whether in the United States or abroad, we expect our student-athletes to uphold the highest standards. We will continue to closely monitor the situation."

UCLA is in China for an exhibition game against Georgia Tech on Friday. While Georgia Tech players were on the scene at the time of the UCLA players' arrest, none of them were determined to be involved.

LaVar, Tina and LaMelo Ball were eating with the UCLA team Wednesday. The three Bruins players are not currently with the team.
