Roman Reigns Reportedly May Not Be Ready for WWE Survivor Series Due to Illness

Tyler ConwayNov 6, 2017

There is reportedly a growing belief in WWE that Roman Reigns will not be available for Survivor Series later this month due to an illness that's kept him out for weeks.

Mike Johnson of PW Insider reported the news.

Reigns has been off WWE programming for the last few weeks after being diagnosed with a viral infection. He is expected to be a part of Team Raw with Kurt Angle, Braun Strowman and other wrestlers to be determined at a later date. Johnson reported Jason Jordan, Angle's kayfabe son, will replace Reigns if he is unavailable.

The viral infection also caused Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas to miss time last month, including the TLC pay-per-view. Reigns was supposed to team up with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose in a Shield reunion. Angle took his place, returning to a WWE ring for the first time in more than a decade.

Reigns is not currently hospitalized with his illness, but it's believed he may not be physically fit to compete by the Nov. 19 pay-per-view. Wyatt and Dallas have since returned to WWE programming and touring.
