A movie about the 2016 Chicago Cubs is in the works, according to Anita Busch of Deadline.com.
One interesting tidbit was revealed in her Wednesday report.
Actor Bill Murray, a passionate Cubs fan who celebrated the franchise's first world championship since 1908 with members of the organization last fall, is a candidate to play manager Joe Maddon in the film Teammate, which is based off a book co-authored by former Chicago catcher David Ross.

Maddon seemed excited at the idea of Murray portraying him on the big screen while speaking with reporters Wednesday.
"Are you serious? That's awesome," the manager said after hearing the news, per Bill Zwecker and Madeline Kenney of the Chicago Sun-Times.
"He's much better looking than me. Second, it's very flattering if that is true."
Maddon also said he was unaware about the movie until today.
The Cubs will be looking to produce a sequel during the upcoming postseason.
