Rudy Gay wasn't exactly thrilled with former Memphis Grizzlies teammate Tony Allen's "Grit and Grind" backstory, and he let it be known on Twitter on Saturday.
MassLive's Tom WesterholmĀ revealed that Allen spilled the beans at a public appearance on Friday, saying the mantra, now synonymous with the franchise, began as a way to tease Gay for sitting out a game.Ā
