Green has had off-court issues in the past. He was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge in July 2016 after he was accused of hitting Jermaine Edmondson—a former Michigan State football player—in the face, per John Niyo of the Detroit News.

Those charges were ultimately dropped after Green paid a $560 fine for a noise violation as a part of a plea agreement.
