Aaron Judge Seems to Break Statcast with Ridiculous Home Run
Rivea RuffJul 21, 2017
2017 Home Run Derby champion Aaron Judge is known for his powerful slams. But this one seemed to break Statcast, MLB's tracking technology.
At the top of the fifth inning of Friday night's game versus the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field, the New York Yankees rookie sensation knocked a home run so powerful that the ball nearly left the park altogether.
No one can be exactly sure how far the ball in question went, though—Statcast couldn't record it. Needless to say, the Yankees were pretty pleased with their hitter.
