Big Cass Beats Enzo Amore at WWE Great Balls of Fire 2017
Big Cass took the fight to his former best friend Sunday night at Great Balls of Fire, as he beat Enzo Amore in a grudge match.
Cass nearly won the match by count-out after throwing Enzo over the top rope and to the outside. Enzo recovered before the referee completed the 10-count, though. WWE showed Enzo's fall to the floor:

Why Roster Cuts Happened After WM

Predicting Next Moves for WWE Roster Cuts 🔮
Upon getting back to his feet, Enzo remained in a dazed state, and Cass delivered a big boot for the win.
WWE announcer Cathy Kelley spoke for many WWE fans watching the two former friends face off:
"seeing @BigCassWWE and @real1 on opposite sides of the ring just seems wrong #WWEGBOF

Enzo and Cass were inseparable throughout their tenure in NXT and on the main roster, but that changed a few weeks ago following a shocking revelation.
After video surfaced of Cass staging his own attack, he admitted that he was the one who had taken out Enzo before annihilating his former partner with a big boot.
Enzo attempted to mend fences the following week and offered to forgive the 7-footer. Cass initially showed remorse and appeared ready to get the team back together, but it was all a ruse meant to further embarrass the Certified G.
While celebrating on the ramp with Enzo, Cass laid him out with a clothesline and then emphatically press slammed him to put an exclamation point on the breakup.
After being made a fool of, Enzo was done playing games on the go-home edition of Raw prior to the pay-per-view, and he cut a fiery promo revealing his true feelings about Cass, as evidenced by this tweet, courtesy of WWE Universe:
It is difficult to argue with Enzo's notion that his mic work, personality and catchphrases were key in Big Cass' ascent, but it was far from a one-man operation.
On the heels of Enzo's promo, Cass expressed his belief that he is the one with Superstar potential regardless of his former buddy's contributions:
Amore didn't allow himself to be Big Cass' punching bag for a third straight week either, as he attacked Cass during his backstage interview and sent a message prior to Great Balls of Fire.
Although Enzo's toughness and desire have never been questioned, he entered the pay-per-view as a massive underdog due to the substantial size disadvantage he faced.
During Enzo and Cass' time together as a team, Enzo was tasked with talking the talk, while Cass usually walked the walk in terms of taking care of business between the ropes and ensuring that his partner didn't have to eat his words.
Enzo had a chance to prove that wasn't the case at Great Balls of Fire, but Cass' physical dominance reigned supreme, and it may launch him to incredible heights moving forward.
