Tim Quarterman Traded to Rockets; Trail Blazers Receive Cash Considerations
The Houston Rockets continue to stockpile backcourt depth after acquiring Tim Quarterman from the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
Per The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Trail Blazers will receive cash considerations from the Rockets in exchange for Quarterman.

Quarterman is the third guard the Rockets have reportedly added on Wednesday. Wojnarowski reported the team will receive Chris Paul from the Los Angeles Clippers. Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated later reported the Dallas Mavericks will send DeAndre Liggins to Houston.
An undrafted free agent out of LSU last year, Quarterman was used sparingly as a rookie with the Trail Blazers. He appeared in 16 games, but did average 14 points, 6.3 rebounds and five assists per 36 minutes, per Basketball-Reference.com.
Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni runs a fast-paced system that provides plenty of opportunity for everyone to get involved in the offense.
Quarterman doesn't have an extensive NBA resume, but he's going to a team that has high aspirations in the Western Conference and may be better served with this team than he was going to be in Portland.
