Arsene Wenger Says Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil Won't Leave Arsenal This Summer
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed star players Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will not leave the club during the summer transfer window, despite plenty of speculation suggesting the opposite.
The tactician made the comments during an interview with BeIN Sports, saying the two signed a contract and are therefore commited to the club.
The duo have been locked in contract negotiations for months, and the team's disappointing results led to many reporters suggesting they could be looking for an exit.

Earlier this week, Matt Hughes of The Times (h/t colleague Henry Winter) suggested Sanchez could leave for Bayern Munich this summer, while Ozil would opt to play out the remaining year on his contract before moving on a free transfer.
Wenger recently signed a new contract with Arsenal, and the 2017-18 campaign will be a huge one for the Frenchman. Domestic success is needed, as the Gunners won't be participating in the UEFA Champions League.
From that perspective, it might be in Arsenal's best interest to keep hold of their two star men, even if it means both could leave for free in one season. The alternative is to cash in now and use the summer to find adequate replacements, but those new arrivals would need time to adjust, setting the club back.
