Orioles Will Wear Special Uniforms on 'Celebrate Maryland Day'

Andrew GouldMay 16, 2017

The Baltimore Orioles will hold "Celebrate Maryland Day" on Saturday when they host the Toronto Blue Jays at Camden Yards.

While playing their American League East foes, the Orioles will don jerseys and hats designed to honor the state's flag. Per the team's Twitter page, fans will receive a free replica jersey, and the club will auction off the apparel worn by players and coaches after the game.

Before Saturday night's MLB contest, Baltimore will also host the 142nd Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course. The Orioles, however, must snap a four-game losing streak in order for local sports fans to enter the day in a celebratory mood.
