Kobe Bryant Performs Slam Poem About Steve Urkel on 'The Tonight Show'
A stone-faced assassin on the court, the retired Kobe Bryant loosened up by performing a slam poem about Family Matters' Steve Urkel on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
It's as ridiculous as it sounds, but that's the point of the goofy segment. Wearing a black turtleneck, the Black Mamba recites verses about Jaleel White's geeky 1990s sitcom character transitioning into his cooler alter ago, Stefan.
And yes, he ended by imitating Urkel's catchphrase, "Did I do that?"
The former Los Angeles Lakers legend also sat on the couch to discuss Dora the Explorer—he's not a fan—and his daughters, who ignore his basketball tips:
Fallon joked about a Bryant comeback just for the playoffs, but that arrangement wouldn't work with the 26-56 Lakers—who endured their own family matters—this season.
The Mamba also had some fun being interviewed by a young reporter, which included singing a Disney tune:
