Kylian Mbappe Rumoured to Be Subject of World-Record Transfer Bid

AS Monaco have reportedly received a world-record offer of €130 million (£110 million) for young starlet Kylian Mbappe, with Real Madrid and Manchester City both said to be part of a group of teams interested in the teenager.

That's according to Duncan Castles of Yahoo Sport UK, who reported "informed sources" said Monaco fully expect even greater offers to arrive for the forward in the near future.

The 18-year-old has enjoyed an astronomical rise to the top of French football this season, and according to Castles, the bids rolling in for the France international have reflected his progress. Clubs first offered €60m plus bonuses, and since then, his value has more than doubled.

At least one club has also offered Monaco a deal that would involve a return to France on a one-year loan deal.

Mbappe has scored 15 goals in 11 starts since February, including a brace during Wednesday's UEFA Champions League action against Borussia Dortmund. He leads the attack for one of Europe's most impressive young squads, with the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Bernardo Silva and Fabinho also attracting plenty of interest.

Per Castles, Manchester United and Barcelona are also keen on Mbappe, but Real Madrid are most advanced in negotiations. Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are all mentioned as possible suitors as well, but Monaco are expected to keep hold of the player for now.
