Certain wrestlers can be profiling, limousine riding, jet flying, but if Vince McMahon does not believe in that wrestler or talent, then they might as well pack it in and go back to teaching grade 6 math. Vince McMahon, the mastermind behind the WWE, can be called a genius. Yet, other may call him absolutely ridiculous. How can so many wrestlers who have genuine talent be overlooked? Let’s look and see who have been overlooked…

1) Chris Jericho

Yes, I understand that he has won the WWE championship and on top of that, was the first ever Undisputed Champion. However, once Jericho made it to the main event, his time there was short lived and even his comeback (SAVE.US.222) seemed to be slapped together. I remember watching it live and the camera wasn’t even in the right place when his video started. Here is a person who had to tone down his Lion Tamer and make it look like a weak Boston Crab. He also had to prove himself time and time again competing in many different types of matches with no payoff. What his payoff? Being a Tag Champion with Big Show. Big Deal!

2) Christian

Captain Charisma himself has been overlooked by WWE staff numerous times. When he was the Tag Champion with Edge, together, they competed in almost all, if not all TLC matches. It was okay for Christian to put his body on the line, and what did he get out of it? Getting laid off. So he jumps ship to TNA, where almost instantly becomes the TNA World Champion. After his time there, he returns to WWE, where I personally thought his comeback was going to be huge and he would have some angle with Edge and the Hardy’s. Instead, he debut’s on ECW and becomes the ECW Champion. Nice!

3) Ted Dibiase Jr.

The third member of Legacy needs to break away and begin his own career. The legacy gig may be good for now, but he needs to step away from the awkward Cody Rhodes and be his own competitor. He has the physique and he does possess some decent wrestling skill. I hope he does not become another Lance Storm, who is a great sidekick, but never main eventer. I would imagine that he will be the one who turns on Randy Orton and branch out from there. But you never know with Vince.

4) Carlito

For a guy who spits in people’s faces, he sure does take a lot in return. Carlito is a great well rounded wrestler who has great aerial skills. Yet, he remains a bottom of the barrel talent. Why? The most Carlito has achieved was the Intercontinental Championship. Carlito has been overlooked, while CM Punk rises to the top? What does the so called ‘straight edge’ have that Carlito doesn’t? Carlito also has the ability to actually sell matches and injuries. It looks like Vince is the one with the apple.

5) Johnny Nitro (Morrison)

Another talent who actually has talent. Referring to CM Punk again, who was able to become the World Champion more than once. Johnny Nitro was over looked from the main event picture and instead CM Punk was chosen. Terrible move! Johnny Nitro has great physique and incredible wrestling attributes. They make him feud with a bunch of nobodies. He has great stamina, can work matches well and has a great gimmick. What more does he need? Apparently a tattoo of the Pepsi logo on his arm.

In conclusion, I have listed 5 wrestlers that I feel have been terribly overlooked in the wrestling business. Feel free to comment and tell me who you believe has been overlooked by Vince or TNA for that matter.
