The duo neutralized Chad Gable by throwing him over the outside barricade, which left Jason Jordan on his own to fend off the two brothers.
As Jordan was re-entering the ring, Jimmy Uso grabbed his leg to wrap his groin around the middle rope. That provided Jey Uso with the opening to deliver a superkick for the victory.
Former NXT tag champion Tommaso Ciampa praised all four wrestlers involved for a job well done:

The timing of the title change is interesting with WrestleMania 33 a little less than two weeks away. Normally, WWE waits until the Showcase of the Immortals for championship belts to change hands.
However, the WrestleMania 33 card is already stacked from top to bottom. A match between The Usos and American Alpha—even one as good as Tuesday's—would likely get lost in the shuffle, especially if it was on the WrestleMania pre-show.
The SmackDown tag team titles are well-earned for the Usos, who have arguably done the best work of their careers following the brand extension. They've excelled as the foils for American Alpha.
Gable and Jordan, meanwhile, will benefit from chasing the belts. Their championship reign was somewhat underwhelming, so becoming the hunters again rather than the hunted will be a nice change of pace for the pair.
