WWE Fastlane 2017: Latest Card Predictions Including Kevin Owens vs. Goldberg
WWE is only three days away from Fastlane, and not much has changed with regards to predictions. This week's Raw only solidified those expectations—there were no major swerves in the storylines, and barring any outrageous twists on Sunday, everything is in place to lead into WrestleMania, as planned.
What's important at this point—equally as important as the results—is how the Fastlane matches will arrive at their results. Hopefully, Fastlane will set up some stirring drama and unpredictability come April. Here are the latest card predictions.

Sami Zayn vs. Samoa Joe

If Samoa Joe doesn't win this showdown, it would be a shock. Sami Zayn has been booked as a perpetual underdog and an unconscionable pain in the ass backstage.
Meanwhile, Samoa Joe has been booked as a monster. He has multiple world title reigns outside of the WWE. He's the former, recently deposed NXT Champion. And the WWE has played up his real-life dismantling of Seth Rollins on social media.
This will be Samoa Joe's first WWE match on a main-roster pay-per-view. And the company is not going to let him lose on his first outing. Expect Joe to go over convincingly and keep his tough-man reputation going into WrestleMania.
Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax

This one is pretty clear-cut, too. Nia Jax won her match against Sasha Banks at Royal Rumble. So Banks will get her revenge and win the match as Fastlane, tying their PPV series at 1-1.
Then, there can be a rubber match between Banks and Jax at WrestleMania. There could also be a Fatal 4-Way between Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Sasha and Nia for the Raw Women's Championship. But either way, Banks needs to tie her feud with Jax to increase the stakes.
Universal Champion Kevin Owens vs. Goldberg

Goldberg is winning. At this point, the best we can hope for is a long fight.
It remains to be seen whether Goldberg can wrestle a longer match than his standard-issue squash bout. He beat Lesnar with three moves (four if you count the two-handed push). He stayed in the Royal Rumble for mere minutes. But he'll have to go for longer on Sunday, so that Kevin Owens comes out of Fastlane with his pride and dignity intact.
Goldberg, as over as he is right now, represents the past. And Owens, who has the potential to be the best heel on the roster, is the future. If he must lose to Goldberg at Fastlane, fine. It's WrestleMania season, after all. The WWE needs to book the biggest match that is best for business, and that means Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar for the universal title.
But please, make this Fastlane match have a dirty finish, where Chris Jericho costs Owens the title. Make it a hard-fought match on top of that. Because once Goldberg goes back into retirement, there's no reason why he should take Owens' hard-earned reputation with him.
