Atlanta Store Won't Sell Sam Adams, Sam Adams Responds

Zac WassinkJan 26, 2017

Super Bowl LI between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons is still over a week away, but at least one Georgia establishment is already banning a certain New England product.

As Shalise Manza Young of Yahoo Sports wrote, the owner of an Exxon station in Gainesville, Georgia, posted a sign in his store declaring he will not be selling any Samuel Adams beer until after the upcoming Super Bowl.

Viral Chhadua, the station's owner, explained he made this decision after reading a column written by Dan Shaughnessy of the Boston Globe. Shaughnessy took shots at the Falcons and other Atlanta sports teams in that piece.
