Knicks Coach Jeff Hornacek Turns Away as Carmelo Anthony Calls His Own Number
Head coach Jeff couldn't hide his frustration during the New York ' fifth straight loss.
During Monday night's 115-103 loss to the Orlando Magic, Carmelo Anthony called for a clear-out and missed a contested jumper. Disappointed in the isolation play, turned his back to his player and walked toward his team's bench.
Anthony has fallen into bad habits, netting a 36.1 field-goal percentage (30-of-83) during their five-game rough patch. While exasperated reaction to his ill-advised shot stood out, defense is the bigger problem for a club that has relinquished 108.5 points per game.
"I don't think our guys aren't trying. Maybe we're just not capable of it. I don't know," said after Monday's loss, per ESPN.com's Ian . "That's what we're going to have to figure out. Maybe you have to play some of these other guys."
After falling to 16-18, the no longer possess a playoff spot.
