Giancarlo Ferrari-KingDec 20, 2016

We've officially entered our holiday countdown in the sneaker community. As 2017 approaches, brands are busy churning out their final products to capture a bevy of year-end sales.

This week's list of releases focuses on a special Kobe Bryant Christmas shoe and two must-own Air Jordan models, and we even engage in the world of designer collaborations.

Get your credit cards ready for meltdown mode because it's now time for Bleacher Report's top footwear releases of the week.

Nike Kobe 11 Elite Low 'Ghost of Christmas Past'

1 of 5

Sneaker: Nike Kobe 11 Elite Low "Ghost of Christmas Past"

Release Date: December 24

Kobe Bryant's legend has continued to fester, grow and morph, even though the Black Mamba is now retired. Nike has fueled this fire by giving him a follow-up signature sneaker dubbed the Kobe A.D.

But the drama hasn't stopped there. On December 24, Nike plans to release a special version of the Kobe 11 Elite Low dubbed "Ghost of Christmas Past."

Nike wants Bryant to haunt the NBA, especially around the holidays. Using an electric, volt-style finish and a miniature Swoosh—the best part of the shoe—this sneaker has all the makings of an instant seller.

Crossover x Reebok Club C

2 of 5

Sneaker: Crossover x Reebok Club C

Release Date: December 23

It's true. This Crossover x Reebok Club C collaboration is clean enough to put even the most loyal members of Team Nike on notice.

This basketball-driven, Yeezy marketplace often turns people away from the past. Before all of the hype, there was a world filled with elite tennis shoes.

This creative partnership between sneaker shop Crossover and Reebok has brought back that tennis club look and feel. A full, white leather upper and perforated paneling dress down the shoe in a dapper sort of way. Add in the cream colored sole, and you have a smooth, summer classic.

Even though we're nestled in winter, stashing these for a summer day doesn't seem like a bad idea.

Air Jordan 16 'Suit Yourself'

3 of 5

Sneaker: Air Jordan 16 "Suit Yourself"

Release Date: December 22

Jordan Brand seems ready once again to give retro treatments to some of their later Air Jordan models. It starts with the Air Jordan 16 "Suit Yourself," releasing on December 22.

The Air Jordan 16 is an awesome way to end the year for Jordan Brand. It's a shoe that has historically been all about materials—premium leather, nubuck and even a patent leather toe. This thing is the early 2000s, sneaker version of a Cadillac Escalade.

December 22 marks the day anyone who hasn't had the pleasure of experiencing this sneaker can finally get their hands on a pair. Priced up to $250, this is one Air Jordan we're fully expecting to vanish quickly.

Air Jordan I 'Storm Blue'

4 of 5

Sneaker: Air Jordan I "Storm Blue"

Release Date: December 23

Jordan Brand's going for the financial jugular by releasing the Air Jordan 16 "Suit Yourself" on December 22 and the Air Jordan I "Storm Blue" the very next day.

Hopefully that holiday money is coming in early, because fans of the Air Jordan I line need this "Storm Blue" release to hit their closets.

What makes this particular version of the Air Jordan I a must-own? Simply put, the colorway. Jordan Brand has tinkered—no pun intended—with countless looks. But this white-and-blue version is the first time the Air Jordan I will be colored as such.

The "Storm Blue" drops on December 23 for $160. Unlike the Air Jordan 16 "Suit Yourself," we expect this model to become readily available.

Adidas Consortium x Kith Trail 'Response Boost'

5 of 5

Sneaker: Adidas Consortium x Kith "Response Trail BOOST"

Release Date: December 23

The work Ronnie Fieg's done operating his flagship brand Kith has remained a prominent part of sneaker culture.

Fieg, known for his footwear collaborations with brands, is at it once again, just in time for 2017. The Adidas Consortium x Kith "Response Trail BOOST" releases on December 23 and was manifested on the notion of being ultra-responsive.

This shoe can be described best by its outdoor design. Boost materials used for comfort and tumbled nubuck paneling for warmth turn this shoe into more of a hybrid model than a traditional sneaker.

Releasing in limited quantities, you'll have to be quick if you want to secure these winter stompers.
