ATP World Tour Finals 2016 Results: Friday Tennis Scores and Updated Schedule
Andy Murray defeated Stanislas Wawrinka, 6-4, 6-2, to book his place in the last four of the 2016 ATP World Tour Finals as champion of the John McEnroe Group on Friday afternoon.
The result saw the world No. 1's raging form endure, while Wawrinka's early departure from the competition was confirmed in spite of Kei Nishikori's later meeting against Marin Cilic.
Murray has maintained a perfect record thus far at London's O2 Arena, and he'll now take on Milos Raonic in the semi-finals of the end-of-year competition after the Canadian finished second in the Ivan Lendl Group.
The tournament's second seed, Novak Djokovic, will take on Nishikori in Saturday's other semi-final, despite the latter's 6-3, 2-6, 3-6 defeat to Cilic in Friday's late fixture.
Read on for a breakdown of Friday's remaining group-stage matches at the 2016 ATP World Tour Finals, complete with a look at the current standings and a glimpse at Saturday's schedule.

Recap
Murray blew his Friday opponent out of the water as Wawrinka barely managed to muster a challenge against the world's No. 1, falling to the Scot in straight sets as the match barely lasted 90 minutes.
The Scot trailed 3-2 in the first before a three-game streak laid the platform for a 6-4 triumph that clinched his place in the semi-finals of the competition, and BBC Sport's Piers Newbery pointed out the crowd were firmly aware of what was at stake:
If the first set was seen as a stroll for Murray, little could prepare the Greenwich audience for the onslaught that was wrought upon Wawrinka in the decider, where his foe was in simply furious form.
Wawrinka came to the finals as third seed but looked lost as he dropped serve twice in as many serving games to go 4-0 down, and former British professional Greg Rusedski hailed Murray as he opened his stride:
Murray was particularly dominant in his serves and conceded a sum total of three points across the final three games before sealing his 6-4, 6-2 victory, a display of just how irrepressible he can be with a head of steam.
One thing for certain is Raonic promises to be a much larger threat in the next stage of the competition, and Murray barely has a day to prepare, meaning his quick Friday win was all that more essential.
In contrast to Murray, Nishikori failed to see out his group-stage run with victory despite sealing his place in the semi-finals well on time, falling to underdog Cilic in Greenwich after going a set ahead.
The Japanese contender won with an impressive 70 percent of the second return points he faced in the opening salvo, per Flashscore, but Jose Morgado of Portuguese daily Record painted Cilic's pride when the match began to turn:
After conceding a break of serve twice in the first set, Cilic suddenly returned the favour in the following exchange and went from trailing 1-0 to leading 5-1, and his comeback wasn't yet at its close.
The Croat was also the first player to break in the third set, and Tennis TV provided a look at just how much the triumph meant to Cilic:
Nishikori managed to save match point on one occasion, but the desire was clearly running in Cilic's favour, with his progressing opponent perhaps wary of saving energy for the incoming threat of Djokovic.
He'll take on the Serbian powerhouse in Saturday's late fixture, hoping this defeat is the only one he'll suffer in Greenwich if he's to claim glory in the ATP World Tour Finals.
