Will Ferrell Revives Harry Caray Impersonation on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'
Hey! As the Chicago Cubs prepare for their first World Series since 1945, Will Ferrell revived his Harry impersonation on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The actor—who mastered the role back in his Saturday Night Live days—had not appeared as the former Cubs broadcaster in quite some time. But a pennant called for him to invade Jimmy Kimmel’s studio with beer and Wetzel’s Pretzels.
Luckily for Kimmel, Ferrell didn’t stump him with any conundrums such as "If you were a hot dog and you were starving, would you eat yourself?" He did, however, mock the host’s weight while calling his home run from 2004's celebrity softball game.
Earlier this month, retiring Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully provided much kinder commentary for Kimmel's blast. Ferrell, on the other hand, declared they could "tarp the field" with Kimmel's uniform pants.
Since Scully won't join the World Series booth, let's see if Ferrell is interested in announcing Tuesday night's game.
