McCoy Comments on Injury

Thursday, Nov. 3

"I feel good. First day back out here," McCoy told reporters, per the Bills' official Twitter account. "Ran some routes. I feel a lot better today than I have."

"I tried to take off on a route, and I felt pain," McCoy said Oct. 23, per the team's official Twitter account. "Came out. Smart thing to do. Today I felt great (pregame), wouldn't have played otherwise."

He recorded 11 yards on eight carries before exiting.

Ryan Comments on Decision to Play McCoy in Week 7

Monday, Oct. 24

"He got clearance from our medical personnel," head coach Rex Ryan told reporters, per Jay Skurski of the Buffalo News. "That's tons of tests. LeSean wanted to play. He felt like he was ready."

McCoy Is Key Cog in Bills Offense

McCoy has been able to remain healthy for most of this season. He did suffer a hand injury during practice before Week 5, but it didn't keep him out of game action.

The Bills have struggled to develop a rhythm on offense, as a lot of their key playmakers from last season are not producing. Wide receiver Sammy Watkins has played in only two games and is recovering from a foot injury that will keep him out until later this season, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Buffalo's running back stable was hurt during the preseason when Karlos Williams, who was suspended for four games after violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, was released in August after one season.

With McCoy back in the fold, the Bills offense is in much better shape.ย
