Michael Vick Praises Louisville's Lamar Jackson: 'Better Than What I Was'
During Louisville's 63-20 onslaught of No. 2 Florida State on Saturday, quarterback Lamar Jackson stole the show with 362 total yards (216 passing, 146 rushing) and five touchdowns (one passing, four rushing).
The 19-year-old's dominant display sparked multiple comparisons to another dual-threat star—Michael Vick:
The former No. 1 overall pick of the Atlanta Falcons took the likeness one step further by claiming Jackson is performing far better than he did in college. Vick finished with 3,299 yards passing and 1,299 yards rushing at Virginia Tech, where he played from 1999 to 2000.
It's hard to argue with the comparison after Saturday's showing.
The sophomore cemented himself as a Heisman Trophy front-runner by upping his 2016 touchdown tallies to 10 rushing and eight passing scores over three lopsided victories.
