President Obama Jokes About Scouting Eagles Quarterback Carson Wentz
While speaking on behalf of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, President Barack Obama joked that he truly came to Philadelphia to scout the enemy.
The commander in chief is well aware of the Eagles' upcoming Monday night matchup against his beloved Chicago Bears.
He said Vice President Joe Biden, who was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, encouraged him to "get on the Wentz wagon."
Carson Wentz, drafted with the No. 2 pick in 2016, led the Eagles to a 29-10 victory over the Cleveland Browns in his NFL debut. In an impressive first start, the 23-year-old captivated the attention of NFL fans and world leaders alike by recording 278 passing yards and two touchdowns.
Let's hope Biden and Obama have a better eye for quarterbacks than Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, who predicted big things for Johnny Manziel two years ago.
