Hunter Comments on Recovery
Wednesday, Sept. 14
Hunter told reporters he passed the concussion protocol, adding that he practiced Tuesday in non-contact drills. Hunter said he's "fairly confident" he will play against Michigan State.
Irish Need Hunter to Take On Larger Role in Pass Game
Hunter finished the game with four catches for 37 yards and a score. After Hunter tallied 28 catches for 363 yards and two touchdowns last year, the Fighting Irish expected him to take on a larger role this season following the departure of Will Fuller to the NFL.
The Notre Dame passing game was productive against Texas, however. Equanimeous St. Brown recorded 75 yards and two scores, C.J. Sanders posted 55 yards and a touchdown, and Josh Adams added 46 yards and a score.
