Martin Return Alleviates Pressure on Winston
Martin, 27, is coming off his best season since his rookie campaign, rushing for 1,402 yards and six touchdowns in 2015 and adding 33 receptions for 271 yards and another score. He missed 15 games to injury between 2013 and 2014.
Martin is a focal point of the Buccaneers offense under second-year quarterback Jameis Winston. He signed a five-year, $35.75 million contract with $15 million guaranteed this offseason.
Getting Martin back in the lineup will help stabilize the offense and open up the field for Mike Evans and the Buccaneers' passing attack.
