After Larson led 200 laps, Keselowski overtook him for 67 laps that carried past the original 300-lap limit.
But due to a caution toward the end of the race, extra laps were needed, and Keselowski ran out of fuel on the 304th lap. He wasn't happy, per Motorsport.com's Lee Spencer:
Keselowski dropped back to finish 12th.
Erik Jones, who won the pole, was looking to pull off a sweep at Bristol after taking the checkered flag at the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 in April.
He held the lead for 31 laps but was forced out of the race after he spun out Daniel Suarez and then made contact with the side of his vehicle. The damage was too much to fix, and he ended the night in 33rd, 64 laps off the lead.
Kyle Busch was looking to further cement his place as the greatest NASCAR Xfinity Series driver. A win at Bristol on Friday would have tied his own record of nine wins at one venue.
He was able to challenge for the lead, but a run-in with Keselowski derailed his night, forcing him to settle for 24th, as the Xfinity Series showed on Twitter:
Despite the number of laps he led, Larson had to settle for third, while Justin Allgaier finished in second, just 0.278 seconds behind Dillon.
The Xfinity Series will resume Aug. 27 in Wisconsin for the Road America 180 Fired Up by Johnsonville.
