Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Lucas Moura, Christian Benteke Rumours
Liverpool's chances of signing Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura have been rated as solid by Sky Sports. The Brazilian has reportedly been on the radar of Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp for a while, according to Transfermarketweb (h/t Metro).
Now Sky Sports, in collaboration with Football Whispers, has rated the rumours linking Moura with the Reds at 4.0, the score for most accurate being 5.0.
Moura would be an intriguing addition to the attack Klopp is trying to build on Merseyside. He would combine well with fellow Brazilian stars Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino.
Moura's game is based on blistering pace, incredible close control and the ability to finish with either foot. He's a flair player who operates best on the flanks.
That makes him a curious fit for Klopp, who generally prefers his attacking players to be fluid in their movement. At Borussia Dortmund, he turned Marco Reus from a classic winger into a roaming forward and got the most out of central schemer Mario Gotze by shuttling him out wide.
A similar, Reus-style transition could await Moura should he jump ship to the Premier League.
Juventus Target Christian Benteke
Christian Benteke may have struggled at Liverpool, but that reportedly isn't stopping Serie A giants Juventus from showing an interest. Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t the Daily Star's Colin Harvey) reported that Benteke is one of a trio of strikers Juve are considering if they sell former Real Madrid prospect Alvaro Morata.

Fellow Belgian attackers Romelu Lukaku and Michy Batshuayi are also sharing space on that list, according to the report. But it's Benteke's name that stands out as the real surprise.
There's no denying his talent as a strong and combative target man who can dominate in the air. Yet, full commitment often eludes the ex-Aston Villa man. It's fair to say he's rarely shown his best game since signing for Liverpool in the summer of 2015.
Just 10 goals was a measly return last season, per WhoScored.com. Still only 25, Benteke could have a future with the Reds, assuming he can adapt to Klopp's brand of football.
It remains to be seen if a player who operates best with his back to goal can make that transition, though.
Klopp would likely not bemoan saying goodbye to Benteke this summer, but any sale would create a space that needs to be filled. Moura is one of the better options given how his pace and creative temperament suit what the Liverpool chief wants in the final third.
