Adam WellsJun 14, 2016

Former WWE Superstar Adam Rose has had his domestic violence case dropped Tuesday, per TMZ Sports.

According to TMZ, prosecuting attorneys dropped the case against Rose after he proved he's "getting professional help for his marital issues."

Last month, per Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, Rose was arrested in Hillsborough County, Florida, on charges of tampering with a witness and battery domestic violence.

TMZ Sports reported on May 12 that a Hillsborough County judge released Rose on $1,000 bond after his wife "begged" the judge to give her husband a break and to undergo counseling once a week before his next court date in June.

At the time of Rose's arrest, he was already serving a 60-day suspension in WWE for violating the wellness program. He contested the suspension by posting a doctor's note on Twitter. WWE later extended his suspension indefinitely after his arrest, citing a zero-tolerance policy for domestic violence.

On May 23, WWE announced that it had released Rose at his request. TMZ Sports noted with the case being dropped that it is officially closed.

The 36-year-old Rose, whose real name is Raymond Leppan, worked with WWE from 2010-16.
