Joel Embiid Tries to Recruit Kevin Durant on Twitter

Laura DeptaMay 31, 2016

The dust hadn't even settled on the Western Conference Finals before the Kevin Durant free-agency talk took off.

The Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the Golden State Warriors in a roller-coaster series that culminated in a magical Game 7 Monday night. The Warriors took the game, 96-88, on the strength of 17 three-pointers as a team.

Durant is set for free agency this offseason, and the rumor mill has been churning all year about possible destinations. Now that his season is officially over, expect that chatter to continue.

In fact, Joel Embiid, the Philadelphia 76ers center and hilarious Twitterer, has already tried to recruit the 2014 NBA MVP:

Embiid has yet to play for the 76ers due to injuries, but he can still contribute via virtual recruitment attempts, right?

After Game 7, Durant responded to a question about his free agency, per Sam Amick of USA Today

"

To be honest, I promise you I haven't thought about that. It's hard to think about that. Especially right now, especially when you're battling every single day. It's hard. Give me a couple weeks and talk to me then, but I just don't know right know, man.

"

So you're sayin' there's a chance?
