Rob Gronkowski Considering WWE as a Post-NFL Option

Laura DeptaMay 24, 2016

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is a WWE fan. He attends events, counts wrestler Mojo Rawley as a friend and has even filmed a few promo videos.

So the revelation that he covets some time in the ring doesn't exactly come as a shock.

Gronk told Katie Nolan in a recent DraftKings "Truth or Dare" video that he would consider WWE after his NFL days are behind him (though not on a full-time basis—don't get too excited).

In 2015, Gronkowski told Jimmy Traina of FoxSports.com: "I can definitely see something in the future. Hopefully Mojo Rawley starts wrestling a lot and starts doing what he has to do and makes it to Monday Night Raw; if my boy is there, I'm there for an appearance."

Gronkowski also told Nolan that his ring name would be The Gronk and that his finishing move would involve some sort of spike (big shock).
