Jaret Edwards did the impossible.
The St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio) High School pitcher tossed a perfect game, striking out all 15 batters he faced in a 10-0, five-inning win over John Marshall (Cleveland) High School in a Division I sectional game Thursday.
In other words, he perfected the perfect game.
According to Cleveland.com's Scott Patsko, 11 of the batters Edwards struck out went down swinging.
"I usually don't smile on the mound, but when I got the last strikeout, I smiled," the George Washington University commit told Patsko. "It was a pretty relieving moment."
