Kasabian to Celebrate Leicester City's Premier League Success with Home Gig

Tom WebbApr 30, 2016

Leicester City are just one win away from securing the unlikeliest of Premier League titles—and their most famous fans (sorry, Gary) are preparing a "party for everybody."

Kasabian announced on Friday that they'll be playing a special one-off gig at Leicester's King Power Stadium on May 28 in order to celebrate the Foxes' incredible season.

The band were originally scheduled to play the gig in 2017, but Leicester's fairytale run to the top of the Premier League has seen the show brought forward.

"We were all booked in, set to do it next year," guitarist Serge Pizzorno told NME, via Metro. "We’ve been buzzing off that plan... But as the season’s gone on, there’s a feeling around the city that’s really special and we thought we should move heaven and earth to move the gigs forward a year."

Claudio Ranieri's side need just three points from their three remaining games to secure their first-ever league title and could seal the deal when they face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
