NASCAR at Martinsville 2016: Live Results and Analysis from the STP 500
Kyle Busch led 352 of 500 laps to capture his first checkered flag of the season in Sunday afternoon's STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway.
The win was the second of the weekend for the defending Sprint Cup champion, who also visited Victory Lane in Saturday's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Alpha Energy Solutions 250, and his first Cup-level win at "The Paperclip" in 31 tries.
Busch takes home one of Martinsville's iconic grandfather clocks, awarded to the winner of each major race on the track, for his efforts.
A.J. Allmendinger, who ran consistently in the top 10 all afternoon and made a strong push for the lead in the closing laps after a late caution, came up just short and finished second.
Kyle Larson, Austin Dillon and Brad Keselowski rounded out the top-five finishers.
NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series returns to action Saturday night with the Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.
