Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks Defeat Naomi and Tamina at WWE Fastlane 2016

Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks make great rivals, but they were arguably even better teammates Sunday night at WWE Fastlane as they joined forces to defeat Naomi and Tamina in a Divas tag team match.

Sasha won the match after getting Tamina to tap out in the Bank Statement, via WWE:

Robert Littal of BSO enjoyed how Sasha mixed up how she led up to her finisher:

Sasha largely rose to the top of NXT as a villain battling against Emma, Charlotte, Becky and Bayley, but Aubrey Sitterson of Straight Shoot prefers to see her as more of a babyface:

Both Becky and Sasha were called up to WWE's main roster from NXT this past summer, but they were in direct conflict with each other from the start. While Lynch teamed up with Charlotte and Paige as Team PCB, Banks created Team B.A.D. along with Naomi and Tamina.

Lynch eventually split from her group after both Paige and Charlotte turned heel, and she engaged in a feud with Charlotte over the Divas Championship.

Charlotte defeated Becky at Royal Rumble thanks to Ric Flair's help, which prompted Sasha to appear following the match and take out both competitors.

While both Banks and Lynch had their sights set on the Divas Championship, they took a detour when Team Bad turned on Sasha. Despite Becky's rivalry with The Boss, she decided to lend a helping hand.

That created a reluctant alliance that neither Sasha nor Becky were fully committed to, as seen in this video, courtesy of WWE's official Twitter account:

Despite the fact they decided to team up, both Banks and Lynch continued to look ahead toward their ultimate individual goals.

Becky insisted she wasn't done chasing the Divas Championship despite suffering multiple losses at the hands of Charlotte:

Additionally, Sasha placed her focus on Charlotte's title and attempted to remove herself from any potential affiliations, per WWE Universe:

That individuality could have cost Lynch and Banks in their match against the cohesive unit of Naomi and Tamina at Fastlane, but they were able to coexist well enough to come out on top.

While they put on a strong performance, there is no question most fans are looking ahead to WrestleMania and wondering how the Divas title picture will come together.

Both Becky and Sasha are viable contenders for the strap, and while a singles match involving one of them is possible, a Triple Threat with both of them going for the butterfly-emblazoned belt on the grandest stage of them all seems more likely.

Lynch and Banks have contributed heavily to a change in perception regarding women's wrestling in WWE. They put on countless great matches in NXT, and while it can be argued the Divas Revolution hasn't taken off as flawlessly as many hoped on the main roster, they have still contributed positively to the cause.

They have earned the right to have an important match at WrestleMania, and based on the manner in which their contest played out at Fastlane, all signs point toward that being the case.
