Texas Pastor Prays for God to Kill Conor McGregor

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor hasn't made too many friends in the Christian community lately after he compared himself to God and claimed he would "whoop Jesus' ass" in a fight.

The Irish mixed martial artist has particularly upset pastor Donnie Romero of the Stedfast Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, who claims he will be praying for God to smite McGregor for his careless words.

"I’m going to pray that God strikes him down with a lightning bolt," Romero said, per FoxSports.com's Damon Martin. "So everybody in the world that believes the Bible, even a little bit, knows that it was God, it was Jesus who struck him down."

As he prepares for his fight with Rafael dos Anjos in March, McGregor may be best advised to avoid rainstorms.
