Who Should Start for Arsenal When They Take on Fulham?

Arsenal returned to their winning ways last weekend with a 4-0 thumping of a frail Wigan side. After the Gunners had endured consecutive defeats in Manchester, Arsene Wengers men responded well ensuring they are still a dominant force in the EPL.

Now the North London side face a strong Fulham side which shocked the Gunners last season with a 1-0 win. However, Arsenal seem to have returned to full confidence and will look to overcome the Craven Cottage dominance.

So who should start for the Gunners?

Goalkeeper

Manuel Almunia is still not a certain starter. The goalkeeper is still struggling with a chest infection and could not feature. If the Spainard is unable to play Vito Mannone will be elevated off the bench and Wojciech Szczęsny will become the second choice keeper.

Defenders

All of the first choice defenders are fully fit and firing so expect to see a routine backline. Bacary Sagna will defend the right flank whilst Gael Clichy will have the left. The increasingly impressive and popular goal scoring pair of William Gallas and Thomas Vermaelen will occupy the middle.

Midfielders

The Arsenal midfield performed strongly against Wigan and their is a slight chance Russian star Andrei Arshavin may return from injury. However, Samir Nasri is still out and their remains a cloud over Theo Walcotts injury. Expect to see Alexandre Song playing a defensive role, Denilson should take a more central role whilst Abou Diaby and Emmanuel Eboue will take a wider role. Captain Cesc Fabregas is likely to play just behind the striker. That line up could easily change.

Forwards

The Arsenal forwards seem to be assisting goals rather than scoring them, none the less they are still performing strongly. Expect to see Robin van Persie playing the lone striker role although a midfielder such as Abou Diaby or Emmanuel Eboue could drop to the bench and Eduardo Da Silva or Nicklas Bendtner will partner van Persie upfront.

Substitues

With seven places up for grabs, depending on Alumina's fitness, Manne or Szczęsny will take the keeper role. Mikeal Silvestre will be the back up defender and Aaron Ramsey, Eduardo Da Silva, Nicklas Bendtner/Emmaneul Eboue/Abou Diaby, Jack Wilshere and Kieran Gibbs could be the remaining 5. Although that could easily change.

A tough encounter for the Gunners but hopefully Arsenal can begin to take off and find some serious winning form.
