Snead Gives Brees Reliable Target in Passing Game
Thus far through two games, Snead has 14 receptions for 226 yards and two touchdowns.
Last season was a breakout year for Snead, who went from not having a single reception during his rookie year in 2014 to being the Saints' second-leading wide receiver with 69 receptions for 984 yards and three touchdowns.
A solid route-runner with a good pair of hands, Snead has flourished while catching passes from quarterback Drew Brees in a Saints offense that relies on the passing game.
This is an offense that passed the ball 667 times last season compared to just 397 rushes.
With the departure of veteran Marques Colston, Snead has been tasked to replicate his 2015 season alongside a young wide receiving group that features Brandin Cooks, Brandon Coleman and rookie Michael Thomas, who are all 24 years old or younger.
