Eifert's Return a Major Boost to Bengals Offense
Eifert split time with Jermaine Gresham as a rookie and played in only one game last season before suffering a brutal elbow injury. Now, the former first-round pick has come into his own and is among the best at his position.
Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton, who left Week 14's game with a thumb injury and has yet to return, has counted on Eifert time and again in the red zone, and the tight end has delivered the goods with 12 touchdowns in 2015.
Dalton is out with a thumb injury, with A.J. McCarron under center in his place.
With Eifert back in the fold, McCarron can focus less on wide receiver A.J. Green and spread the ball around the field.
