Holly Holm Asked What Jay Z's Wife's Name Was When She Met Beyonce

It's been a crazy ride for Holly Holm since knocking out Ronda Rousey to take the UFC women's bantamweight title on Nov. 14—so much so that she asked Jay Z's wife what her name was.

As in Beyonce. She asked Beyonce what her name was.

Holm met the couple during a VIP viewing party at the Canelo Alvarez vs. Miguel Cotto middleweight championship fight Saturday. In a retelling of the story to KRQE News 13, she later admitted she had to interrupt Jay Z to apologize to Beyonce.

I meet Jay Z and he says this is my wife, and I'm like, "Oh, hi what's your name?" Because that's what I do when I meet someone's wife. And as I'm shaking her hand I'm thinking, "Why did I just say that? Why did I just say that to Beyonce?" So then Jay Z is asking me about the fight and I can't even focus on what he's saying because I just put my foot in my mouth. And I literally have to like interrupt him and I'm like, "I'm really sorry." And I go back to Beyonce and I'm like, "Beyonce, like, I can't believe I just did that."

Fortunately no bad blood was stirred—Beyonce told Holm it was fine.
