One down and nine to go after the running of the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire on Sunday. Mark Martin entered the first race of the Chase with the points lead and he left with it after picking up his fifth win of the 2009 season.
Pole-sitter Juan Pablo Montoya, who did not make many friends on or off the racetrack this weekend, dominated the event after winning the pole and picked up the extra five points for leading the most laps. He came home third to Martin.
As for the rest of our Creatures, all but one had a top 10 day to start their championship hopes off on the right foot, giving the point standings a completely new look this week as we head for Dover.
