Long's Return Will Bolster Rams' Fierce Pass Rush
Long didn't miss a game during his first six NFL seasons before appearing in only six contests last year because of a left ankle injury that required surgery.
A combination of William Hayes and Eugene Sims filled in for Long prior to his return. The return of the star defensive end will add to a loaded front with the likes of dynamic defensive tackle Aaron Donald and pass-rusher extraordinaire Robert Quinn on the opposite edge in the trenches.
The Rams defense currently hovers in the middle of the NFL in average yards and points surrendered per game, and Long's return will help the Rams as they look to make a push in the NFC West.
