Mychal Kendricks Injury: Updates on Eagles LB's Hamstring and Return
Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks left the team's Week 2 game against the Dallas Cowboys with a left hamstring injury and did not play in the team's Week 3 victory over the Jets. However, Albert Breer of NFL Network reported Kendricks will play in Sunday's game vs. the Washington Redskins.
Kendricks is a speedy, athletic linebacker who is effective as a blitzer and in coverage—and he just signed a four-year, $29 million contract extension in August.
Kelly shook up Philadelphia's roster in the offseason and took a number of calculated gambles. Kendricks was one of the few incumbents Kelly endorsed from last year's roster, so the team hopes the young defensive playmaker can return—especially in light of what happened to Kiko Alonso.
