Report: Drake and Serena Williams Seen 'Making Out' at Cincinnati Restaurant
Now, I don't profess to know or understand the goings-on inside Drake's heart.
The man's been dealing with a lot lately. He's got a Meek Mill-shaped body buried in a landfill outside Toronto and upcoming performances in September, and he probably hasn't even called Billie Jean King back after what was, by all appearances, a brief but sultry encounter at Wimbledon in July.
Why would he add another tennis star to the mix with so much going on and a verified legend like King on the line?
I have no idea, but TMZ is claiming the rapper and longtime supporter of sports teams that are good is now caught up in a tryst with Serena Williams.
As TMZ alleges, the two were recently spotted at Sotto, a high-end Italian restaurant in Cincinnati, engaging in some public tongue-jousting after Williams' finals win over Simona Halep at the Cincinnati Open on Sunday.
The site posted pictures of the dinner, saying the two were seen "making out" in a private section of the restaurant.
Make what you will of the images, but most platonic dinner dates I've been on haven't involved practicing Greco-Roman wrestling holds at the table. Then again, maybe my friends are just boring:

So...there's that.
Granted, making any definite relationship claims between entertainers and athletes is done at your own risk right now.
Matt Barnes is probably still bathing in aloe vera after being burnt alive for the crime of insinuating that he and Rihanna might have a thing going on, so I wouldn't expect either Drake or Williams to gab candidly about each other anytime soon.
All we know for sure is that Drake came out to support Williams at Wimbledon and joined her for dinner after Cincinnati—two perfectly nice and friendly things to do.
After all, can't two friends just go out and have dinner and talk and hold each other and touch their faces together without the rumor mill taking it too far? Is that too much to ask?
Dan is on Twitter. Let's not call them "Drena," please.
