Miss Texas Asks Out Jordan Spieth as He Sits with His Girlfriend at Rangers Game

Shannon Sanderford—the reigning Miss Texas—was in attendance at Wednesday night's game between the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners and decided to ask out Jordan Spieth via the majesty of rap during a live television broadcast.

Asked what her talent will be for the upcoming Miss America Pageant, Sanderford said she would be singing—a nice skill, but not exactly what the kids are into these days, according to Rangers sideline reporter Jim Knox.

"You know, rap is kind of big right now," Knox said. "This could put you over the top. Can you put something out for us?"

Freestyle rhymes off the top of the dome? Miss Texas can live that life:

The woman next to Spieth is his girlfriend, though, according to Fox Sports' Andre Vergara. And if that's accurate, he'd have Harry Houdini work on his hands if he wanted to take Miss Texas up on her offer.
